Vinland Saga Season 2 (Dub) Episode 2
Due to adverse weather delays in the Dallas region, where the series are dubbed, Crunchyroll has decided to delay the release of English-dubbed episodes for many anime that are airing during the winter season of 2023. The announcement was made on Friday.
After waiting for several years, Vinland Saga fans were finally able to enjoy the first episode of the second season of their beloved anime series. There was a great deal of excitement for the anime's first episode, and it wouldn't be a stretch to say that it started on a strong note.
The first episode of the second season is titled "Slave," which seems like an odd title, but as the episode moves forward, it becomes clear that the title is quite fitting. It focuses on a young man and his family. The young man is named Einar, and he lives with his mother and his sister, Rota. The three seem like a happy family, and they are dependent on land for survival. While having food, Einar talks to his mother about the past and how they were able to survive because of their father's sacrifice. Einar's mother didn't seem to be too bothered, and she told him how they haven't lost anything because they rebuilt everything that was destroyed. Einar starts looking at the fields, and he seems to agree with his mother's words.
When Thorfinn walked out, he looked completely different from the last time fans saw him. Thorfinn had his hair open, and his height also increased. The episode ended before Thorfinn and Einar could talk, which was a bit disappointing. However, there are still over 20 episodes left before the season concludes. Overall, the episode was great, and it did an excellent job of demonstrating how difficult it was to live a normal life back in those days. It also helped viewers to learn about Einar's past, which will come in handy as the story moves forward.
Vinland Saga season 2, episode 9 will officially release on Monday, March 6, for the majority of regions around the world, while for other places, the release date is Tuesday, March 7. In Japan, fans can watch the new episode on local channels and streaming platforms like Tokyo MX, AT-X, Netflix, and Amazon Prime, while for international fans, Netflix and Crunchyroll will deliver the series.
In July 2021, Twin Engine announced that a second season of the series was in production.[3] Shūhei Yabuta is returning as director, and Takahiko Abiru is returning as character designer.[4] In May 2022, it was announced that MAPPA would be taking over as the production studio for the second season.[5] It premiered on January 10, 2023, on Tokyo MX, BS11, and GBS.[6][a] The season will run for 24 episodes.[8]
The manga, numbering just under 200 chapters, is currently in its final stretch. The anime, meanwhile, is currently in its second season. The first season's 24 episodes adapted the manga's first eight-volume arc (out of four major ones), featuring Thorfinn fighting in Askeladd's band during the Danish invasion of England. Season 2 adapts the second arc, where Thorfinn is enslaved on a Norse plantation and must find a new reason to live.
Season 2 of Vinland Saga has made its debut on Crunchyroll, presenting a much different view of the world compared to the previous season of the successful anime. The Vikings are now portrayed as brutal pillagers and, more importantly, slavers, as the first episode follows a new protagonist, Einar, a young Englishman who becomes a slave of the Vikings after his family is butchered in front of his eyes.
